How do I appeal a moderation decision?

Updated 15 October 2026 · 1 min read
Short answer

You have 30 days from the notice. If you couldn't appeal in time for reasons beyond your control, tell us and we'll still consider it.

  • In the app: from the notice, or Settings → Help & Support → Appeal a decision. A suspended Nex or Nyx can still appeal this way.
  • By email: if your whole account is suspended or terminated, you can't sign in, so write to [email protected]. Start the subject with APPEAL, and include your username, your registered email, what was done and when, why you think it's wrong, and any evidence.

A moderator who wasn't involved in the original decision reviews it. We aim to decide within 7 business days, or 15 for complex cases. The action stays in place while we review. If you win, we reverse it, restore the content where we can and remove the record from your account. If it was justified but too harsh, we may replace it with a lighter one.

Appeals aren't available for content a person has confirmed to be child sexual abuse material, for terrorism content, or for action taken under a court order or a law enforcement direction.
